Cascade Spicy Ghost Draught | January 16th 2005
Cascade pretty goodUsed the base wort with 1 kg Coopers liquid malted wheat. Bottled after 14 days with FG 1010. FG seemed a little high but would not go any lower. Tasted after 17 days in the bottle. Beer was clear and a golden colour. Tasted very nice. Does not have very good head retention at this early stage. I believe this will get better with age. |

Coopers Bavarian Lager | January 16th 2005
Burly BavarianTried the Burly Bavarian recipe from the Coopers website. Brewed with Coopers Brew Enhancer #1 and 500g light dry malt. This turned out to be a fantastic beer. It had a nice bitterness and a crisp taste worthy of a German lager. Have done two more since and they have been fantastic as well. |

Coopers Heritage Lager | January 16th 2005
Not bad for quaffingMade this kut with 1.5kg light malt and 300g dextrose to get a little extra alcohol content. Tasted this beer after two months and thought it was rubbish. I ended up leaving it for about 5 months before trying again and what a difference those extra months made. Reminded me a lot of James Boags Premium. Very drinkable! |
